AIDS EDUCATION FOR GRADES 0-3

SABC Education commissioned the "Red Ribbon" series to help learners search for the meaning of the red ribbon symbol and to assist children to learn about HIV/AIDS. HIV for foundation phase learners is one of these areas and in terms of the curriculum, supports the area of Life Skills learning.

The programme was named "Red Ribbon" as research with the age group found that the red ribbon was found to be the easiest and most recognised access point in relation to the epidemic and children responded positively to it.
